Ronald McDonald House saves thousands of dollars by using Bathroom Werx!

Written on the 5 June 2011

When the bathrooms in Ronald McDonald House needed refurbishment the task of ripping them out and replacing them looked to be too daunting, disruptive and expensive!

The bathrooms themselves were in reasonably good condition structurally, however, they were dated and run down. The house manager Peter Bishop, spoke to the Bathroom Werx Melbourne Manager, Liz Yammouni, about possible solutions for the bathrooms.

An inspection was carried out of the property and an estimate was provided for re-enamelling the existing bathroom fittings at a considerable cost saving to renovating the bathrooms from scratch. A demonstration shower room was done, which included the following services:

  • Repair of chips in showerbase and tiles.
  • Regrouting.
  • Application of non-slip grids on the shower base
  • Re-enamelling of showerbase and wall tiles.
  • Application of seal between showerbase and wall tiles.

Overnight transformation!

The bathroom was transformed into a modern, easy to clean, pristine white shower room. This enabled the management to see the dramatic difference the Bathroom Werx bathroom resurfacing process can make.

As they were so happy with the results they booked in a total of 10 bathrooms. As a finishing touch Bathroom Werx also supplied them with new tapware and bathroom fittings in a chrome and gold finish. This completed a brilliant look for the gleaming new bathrooms. The renovations were achieved with the minimum of disruption to the routine of the guests of the House. This was a major concern of the Management.

Bathroom Werx were able to achieve the bathroom renovations with no mess, no fuss and at a considerable cost saving opposed to a traditional renovation method.
